This project was our love letter to legacy, reimagined for modern life. A space where time-honored craftsmanship meets the ease of a smart appliance. Where the decorative molding is just as important as the dishwasher. And where your grandmother’s silver looks perfectly at home next to the espresso machine.
At Studio Steidley, we believe that tradition isn’t something to preserve behind glass—it’s something to live in. The Modern Manor is proof that the art of tradework isn’t lost; in fact, it’s having a renaissance. Think: fluted cabinetry, carved stone fireplaces, and chandeliers with all the right curves. We worked closely with artisans who still treat woodwork like a craft, not just a commodity. Every trim profile, every custom finish—it all mattered. And where any of these details existed before, we evaluated it, keeping it if possible.
But of course, we didn’t stop at aesthetics. These spaces had to function. We layered in sleek built-ins, chef-level appliances, and streamlined storage that would make even Marie Kondo swoon. Modern-day performance, meet old-world poetry.

Arches flow into clean-lined cabinetry. Gilded accents flirt with contemporary fixtures. And antiques? We welcomed them in like old friends, then paired them with modern textiles and finishes that keep things feeling fresh, not fussy. An environment that welcomes both kiddos and pets, without compromising beauty.
