How to up your "Shelfie" game

Do you know how to style shelves? How is your 'shelfie' game? This can be an overwhelming issue for a lot of people so here are some of our rules for styling shelves:

Plants: whether real or real-like, these can give a homey feel

Books: arrange in different directions or use to give height to other items

Art: sculptures or framed art (which can be displayed with a stand or mounted on the back of the unit)

"Party in the back": create depth by putting wallpaper (or contrasting paint color) on the back wall of the shelf

Whimsy: Put something fun, just to make you smile

Tip: mix texture, size, and tone of items while still keeping with the color palette...and have fun!
